Nail-in-head guy: “It never hurt”

If getting accidentally shot in the head with a nail gun ranks among your daytime nightmares, or is at least of those ideas that send shivers up your spine, here’s a reason to take heart: it’s actually quite painless.
Or at least so says George Chandler, a Shawnee from Kansas, USA. He and a buddy were doing latticework at his home when the nail gun they were using accidentally went off and buried a 2.5-inch nail in Chandler’s forehead.
Chandler recounts feeling a stinging sensation immediately after the discharge, but didn’t realize he’d been hit. In fact the friends began looking around for the nail!
It wasn’t until Chandler’s friend noticed the nail partially sticking out from under Chandler’s cap that they called 911.
The best bit of the story takes place the the hospital: the doctor can’t pull the nail out with a pair of pliers and asks for a claw hammer. Chandler thinks he’s kidding, but the nurse hands the doctor a hammer and he pulls the nail out with that!
The only way this story could possibly get better is if House M.D. were in it.
