Why is organic milk less prone to spoilage?

Well, actually, it’s not. The sell-by dates on cartons of organic milk indicate a much longer shelf life compared to regular milk, but that’s not because the milk is organic.

The real reason lies in the processing each kind of milk goes through before being put on the market.

Organic milk is pasteurized at a higher temperature than the regular stuff. That makes it last longer. Why does it need to last longer? Because organic milk usually comes from farther away than regular milk.
